Profile: Pastor Jimmy is 46. He is married to Angeline and they have been blessed with 3 children, a son and 2 daughters. They also look after his brother’s 2 orphaned children. Jimmy completed high school. His hobby is horticulture.
Ministry: Pastor jimmy was saved in July 1997. He currently pastors Kings Way Community Church, which was started in 1998 and has 77 members and 177 children. He uses Foundations for Faming to help his congregation be self-sufficient, and they raise chickens to help raise funds.
Testimony: “Ever since I was ordained as a pastor by His grace, we have planted 6 more congregations in rural areas. The most significant thing is the Spirit of love- Christ’s love among us.”
Overview: Zimbabwe, has a population of approximately 11m. There are serious food shortages, huge shrinkage of the economy and a complete collapse of the local currency. There is 90% unemployment & health & education are in a parlous state. Water & power shortages are an ongoing problem. There has been a huge loss of life and hardship caused by the AIDS & cholera pandemics, with over 2 million orphaned. (In 2019) The country has once again gone back to using its own currency, after 10 years of trading in US$ and SA Rand and inflation is beginning to spiral out of control. In spite of (or because of?) this, many churches are flourishing- & people are turning to God.
